Mother of Pearls

I had an inkling to put on every single pearl I owned the other day. This was the result. I was wearing 6 pearl earrings and several necklaces. I thought for a while about how to display this ridiculous collection and decided to go with smudged heroin-ish makeup and water. ( I was about to take a shower when I came up with the idea, so I just combined the two and slicked back my hair, did some photos and then had my shower. Multi-tasking!

Most of these pearls are real, except for the large white one. I bought some in Bulgaria when I was there and most in Mui Ne last week and I didn't really realize I had that many until I tried to wear them all. This excess of something reminded me of the time my great friend Kristie (from here) emerged from one of my house parties in her underwear with every belt I owned wrapped around her and then started jiving in my kitchen to some insane music. We taped it at the time, I wonder where it is now? Hmmm.

I kinda like the trashy-ness of these pictures. The smudged make-up and wet skin and high contrast jarred camera angles reminds me off a big night that ends in a big question mark. My friends and I always seem to end up in the bathrooms at house parties talking shit, and these pictures, with my weird facial expressions remind me of many house party where I'm curled up the bathroom with friends, possibly having a drunken d&m or just hanging out.

It's great that pearls aren't that expensive anymore!
